After lengthy illness, Peggy Shelton Abbott, age 76, of Empire, AL. departed this

She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to many.

She was preceded in death by two 2 husbands, Bill Shelton and Ralph Abbott:
her parents, James Jones Sr. and Margaret Glancy Jones; brother, James Jones Jr.,
sister, Roberta Logan; granddaughter, Priscilla; grandson, Robert.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren.

Peggy had lived in Empire since 1980, after moving from Texas. She worked hard along side her husbands in the Egg Business and the Cattle Business, and she also opened a porcelain Doll business where she used her artistic talents to teach people young and old the art of Porcelain Doll making.

She was always a generous, kindhearted, person to everyone she met.
