Barbara Evelyn (Lundgren) Dodd our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend returned to her heavenly home on May 20, 2021.

Barbara was born on May 1, 1927, to Willard Carl and Luella (Page) Lundgren. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in the area with her sister, Carol. Barbara always shared stories of a happy childhood in which she grew and flourished and was maybe, just a little bit, mischievous. She graduated from Davis High School in 1945. She worked at National Semi Conductor where she was affectionately called Mrs. Clean. She later spent many years working for the Clipper Newspaper. She was involved in her community and a member of many groups, including Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She met and married the love of her life, Clarence "Tex" Henry Dodd on July 5, 1947, in Texas, where they then lived for a time. They eventually moved back to Utah where they built their home and raised their six children together before Clarence passed away in 1984. They were sealed for eternity in 1985.

Barbara was a steadfast member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved and cared for her family with a fervor that is difficult to match. To describe all that Barbara did in her lifetime would take much more space than an obituary column allows. She was a disciple of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Barbara served others, as she believed Jesus would, often and without fanfare. She was a collector, a gardener, a family historian, and a researcher. She was the epitome of living with an "attitude of gratitude". Even when facing unfathomable pain and loss, she boldly declared everything she was grateful for. Among the many things she cited, being a temple worker was always at the top. Barbara was an example of unconditional love, generosity, and kindness to all who crossed her path. Though Barbara will be immensely missed, we are so grateful that she finally gets to have the joyous reunion in Heaven that she has long yearned for.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Willard Carl and Luella (Page) Lundgren; her sister, Carol Beverly Lundgren Ratcliffe; her husband, Clarence "Tex" Henry Dodd; and her sons, David Lundgren Dodd, Michael Reid Dodd, C. Ryan Dodd and Richard Lynn Dodd. She is survived by her son, Bill (Kit) Dodd; her daughter, Peggy (James) Trujillo; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing services will be held Wednesday May 26 from 6-8 pm at Russon Brothers, 295 North Main Street Bountiful, Utah. On Thursday May 27 there will be another viewing from 9:30-10:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00. Thursday services will be held at 115 East Wicker Lane in Bountiful, Utah.
