"McDANIEL, Mrs. Jessica Head, 94, a resident of Hendersonville, NC, died Tuesday, December 24, 1996, in Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC after an extended illness. A native of Montgomery, she graduated from Lanier High School and from Library School in Atlanta. She was a librarian in Montgomery, Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC, and later, for many years in Pasadena, CA. She returned to Montgomery for two periods of several years in retirement, living in Hazel Hedge. She is survived by one daughter, Anne M. Matthes of Hendersonville, NC; two grandsons, [omitted] of Lunenburg, MA and [omitted] of Londonderry, NH and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are 13 nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 29, 1996 at 11 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FISH (Volunteer Medical Transportation), P.O. Box 2411, Hendersonville, NC 28793. Leak Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements."
