Anita was born and raised in Frankfort, Germany. She met and married James Wilson, a U.S. Army soldier that was stationed in Germany. After they married, they moved to the United States and lived in Florida before moving to Illinois. Anita was a nursing assistant for many years. After her retirement in 2006, she moved to Tennessee. She was an avid gardener, loved fishing, and enjoyed decorating her house with roosters. Anita was always very proud of her children and grandchildren. She always yearned and looked forward to reuniting with her husband.
She is survived by her sons, James Wilson and Randy Wilson and wife Keri Dean; grandchildren, Isaiah Dean-Wilson and Asher Dean-Wilson; sister, Karin Carpenter; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Alford.
A private burial will take place at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brittney Vestal for providing Anita with exceptional care. The family would also like to thank Lynne Post for all of her love, help, and support throughout the years.
