Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Brantley United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Enfinger, Jerry Hayes, Chris Spann, George Allmond, Todd Powell, Chip Helms, and Jeremiah Johnson. The family will receive friends at Brantley United Methodist Church one hour prior to service time beginning at 1:00pm.
Ms. Horton was born October 31, 1949, in Buena Vista, GA, to Paul D. Anthony, Sr. and Ruth Mae Teel Anthony. A lifelong resident of Buena Vista, she grew up attending Brantley United Methodist Church. More recently she had been attending New Providence Baptist Church. Ms. Horton was a homemaker and loved her animals. She excelled at cooking. Ms. Horton was very witty and had a great sense of humor. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing. Ms. Horton was a very loving and giving person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Timothy Anthony and a sister, Edith Anthony Hammond.
Ms. Horton is survived by her son, Jonathan Horton of Buena Vista, GA; by a brother Paul D. Anthony, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Buena Vista, GA; by three sisters, Laverne Anthony Powell and husband, Billy, and Linda Anthony Miller and husband, Thomas, all of Buena Vista, GA, and Annette Anthony Hardick of Columbus, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
