Brian Wayne Hunt, 49, of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. He was born on May 4, 1972 in High Point. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1990 where he excelled in the scarlet regiment band winning the John Philip Sousa Award and Semper Fidelis Award. Brian loved spending time outdoors going hunting, fishing, camping, and trips to the beach. He also enjoyed going out on the boat, tubing/skiing with the kids, and spending time with his kids and family and also had a love and passion for music and playing the guitar. Brian worked many years with his brother at General Security in Kernersville and was a member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church in Thomasville.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Garner Hunt of the home; his father, Ralph Wayne Hunt of Lexington; his mother, Deborah Eddinger Jordan and husband John of Kernersville; one son, Anthony Pierzchala of Greensboro; two daughters, Courtney Garner of Lexington, and Makynlee Carter of Thomasville; two siblings, Jessica McDowell and husband Timothy of Thomasville, and Shawn Hunt and wife Debra of Lexington; and four nieces and four nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Baptist Church in Thomasville with Tim Landreth and Mark Garner officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 PM in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
