Joanne M. Atkins, 47, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. She was born on May 2, 1960 in Chicago, IL.
She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Atkins of Kenosha, WI, Ashly Atkins of Waukegan, IL, and Erica Owens of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Tiarra Atkins; her mother, Suzanne Townsend of Waukegan; one sister, Kathleen (David) Zarnowski of Chicago; and two brothers, David (Hiroko) Townsend of Oceanside, CA and Michael Townsend of Lafayette, CO.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Townsend; and one brother, Steven.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Dismas Catholic Church, 2600 Sunset Avenue in Waukegan. Rev. John Ryan will officiate. Inurnment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until time of Mass.
