She was born to Wade and Martha (Craig) Litten on November 23, 1933, in Flushing, OH. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Lewis Sr.; infant daughter, Kathleen; sisters, Delora Breeden and Nancy Darling; and brother, Charles Litten.
Janet is survived by her two sons and a daughter, John (Karen) Lewis of Butler, PA, Rhonda Littleton of Steubenville, OH, and Kevin (Lenora) Lewis of Butler, PA; grandchildren, Tammy (Nathan), Michael (Nicole), Meghan (Danny), Mindi, RJ, Anthony and Nolan; and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Helen Costello, Ruth (David) Lemley and Becky Darios; and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was a homemaker, a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steubenville, OH, where she was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and the Bereavement Ministry.
Janet was a generous, loving and caring person to everyone she met. She was a woman of many talents that she has shared with her cherished family members. Janet loved watching her grandkids and great- grandkids at school functions, sports and other activities.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be Wednesday, at 10 a.m., St. Peter's Church. Fr. Bradley Greer will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
