Walter "Leland" Harris, age 80, went to be with his Lord on May 22, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home, with his loving family by his side. He was met with open arms by his parents; Jabie and Thelma Harris, siblings; Anna-Mae Gibbs, Hurley, Norwood, and Junior Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Gloria, his daughter Shelley Baker, son-in-law Joe, and the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Courtney Baker. Also left to cherish his memory are his nephew Gregory Gibbs, sisters-in-law Sherma Mason and Rebecca Dunbar. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, nieces, and all surviving family members and friends.
He was an electrician, owning Roberson Electric Co., for over 35 years and was known for his honesty and integrity. He had recently retired in February of 2020. He will be best remembered for his outpouring of love to his family and friends. He was a kind-hearted man that saw the good in everyone.
