George Jerry Cotton, 95, past away on Friday April 27,2018 at Sheridan Manor surrounded by his loved ones.Jerry was born April 1,1923 in Sheridan WY. to George L & Edna (Swinyer) Cotton.He served in the US Army during World War II in Germany & France.He married Bonnie-Jean Smith April 25,1944 in Harden MT. They made their home in Sheridan.He was a Life Member of the VFW Post 1560 and a member of the Elks Lodge 520.Jerry was a avid fisherman and hunter, he shot the first legal moose on the Big Horn mountains that he loved & knew like the back of his hand. He delivered ice in the Sheridan & surrounding area for over 50 years. He was a meat cutter & ran a butcher shop.Jerry was a real cowboy and loved it.Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, son LeRoy W. Cotton, daughter April Bee Cotton, two brothers Roy E. "Cy" & Jack L. Cotton, and one sister Evelyn Reimers. He is survived by a daughter Georgia J. Cotton Sheridan, son George D. "Sam" (Wyla) Cotton, son John E. Cotton, sister Ruth (Cotton) Deutsch, nine grandchildren, Shannon Marshall, Kevin Cotton, Tanna Gliddon, Katelynn & Connor Herchert, Scott, Richard, Christopher & Nicholas Cotton. Seventeen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that he truly loved.

Interment will be in the Elks Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors.
