Betty J. (Bolyard) Felton, born on December 30, 1928 in Grafton, WV, passed away at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown on Wednesday, November 24, 2020, where she was a resident the past 5 years.

Betty was a 1946 graduate of Graton High School. Betty worked at Cuppett's Store in Grafton and as a Telephone Operator before her marriage to Paul Felton on May6, 1950. They were blessed with four children, Rick, Gary, and twins: Debra and David.
Betty had a deep faith and an unwavering belief in Jesus Christ. She was raised a Baptist and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Rowlesburg where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Member of United Methodist Women, UMYF leader, and church secretary. Betty was also active in her children's homeroom school activities and fundraisers, helping at many school dinners at RHS, a member of PTA, and helping her children with homework and school projects. Betty also served as a Den Mother for Rick and Gary's Cub Scout Packs.
Betty loved flowers, cooking, baking and crafting. Their home was always brighten with flowers, plants and good food. Betty loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed family dinners, reunions, get togethers, porch setting, visiting neighbors and the company of pets and grand pets. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her son, Rick and wife Linda of Morgantown, daughter, Debra and companion, Jim of Rowlesburg, daughter-in-law, Caron Vilasuso of Morgantown, grandsons, Christopher Felton of Morgantown, Ian Felton and companion, Jen, Minneapolis, Justin Morell and wife Cassie of Morgantown, Michael Dougan and wife Jennifer of Sherman,Texas , granddaughters, Lindsey Drvar and husband Jared of Morgantown, Kayla Dawkins and husband Jon of Fairmont , Nikki and Zoey Vilasuso of Morgantown, Jenni Adams and husband Josh of Kingwood, Rebecca Dougan and companion Ryan of Morgantown ,granddaughter-in-law, Becky Felton of Morgantown, great grandchildren, Haleigh, Tyler, Kali, Josh, Millie, Jonas, Luke, Frannie, Finnegan, Teagan and Grace, great great grandson Connor and brother-in-law, Hugh Felton and wife Helen Mae.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Shade and Prudence (Bartlett) Bolyard, sisters, Ardeth and Ada Louise, brothers Dick, Dorsey and Jim Bolyard, her husband, Paul Felton, sons, Gary and David Felton, grandson, Isaac Felton, a special nephew, Rev. Terry Bolyard and a brother-in-law, Daniel Felton and his wife, Gloria.

The family would like to thank Betty's previous care givers in Rowlesburg, Mapleshire Nursing Home, where she received very compassionate care and Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for Memorial Donations to Christ United Methodist Church, Preston County Animal Shelter and Hospice Care Corp.

Due to Covid, there will be a Private Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Spence officiating on Sunday, November 29,2020. A Memorial Remberance Celebration will take place post Covid.
