"Gloria passed away peacefully in Gig Harbor, WA with her daughter by her side on May 9th, 2021.
She was born Feb 22, 1925, in Eureka, CA to parents William and Marjorie Robinson. Gloria attended grade school in Samoa, CA and graduated from Eureka High in 1943. Upon graduating, she worked at McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento in the Transportation Office. When Gloria returned to Eureka, she worked for Humboldt Land Title Co in Eureka as an escrow officer. She later worked at the John McKenzie Insurance Agency in Scotia, and lastly as an escrow officer again for Humboldt Land Title in Fortuna.
In 1945, she returned to Eureka and met the love of her life, Jack, in 1946. They were married for 49 happy years and had 3 children.
Gloria was incredibly energetic and had a passion for traveling, cooking, gardening, and giving back to her community. She was always on the go as an active member of the Garden Club, working as a volunteer at Redwood Memorial Hospital for 14 years, and raising funds for numerous charities. Gloria especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandkids, Jamie and Travis, always fondly recall their Noni's famously delicious angel biscuits.
Gloria moved to Gig Harbor, WA in 2010 to be near her daughter and family..."
