Charlotte, North Carolina - William McArthur "Mack" Barber died peacefully on May 18th at the Salisbury VA Home. A veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was an Airplane Mechanic and received an Honorary Discharge. He was such a sweetheart, full of humor and loved old school music.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Winnie Lee Barber of Edgemoor, South Carolina.
Also, his sister, Della Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is survived by his daughter Amelia "Shawn" Douglas and two grandchildren Kellyn Douglas and DeLarrian Douglas all of Charlotte, North Carolina. One niece Candy G. Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina. A host of relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday; May 28th at 9:00 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina with Full Military Honors.
