Obituary from flammfh.com:

Frank Brent Blake passed away May 21, 2021 after a long battle with renal disease and cancer.

Brent was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 25, 1939 to Frank Keith Blake and Beth Reynolds Blake. He spent most of his life living in St. Anthony, Idaho. His early years were spent working with his father and brother, Richard (Dick) Blake, on the family sheep ranch. Dad was taught at an early age to work hard. He worked with his father until his retirement, then began to farm with his brother. Ultimately, dad spent his working life as a teacher, a vocation he enjoyed immensely and showed great talent for.

Dad married Sharon Ruth Hansen on June 13, 1962. They were married just short of 59 years and raised 5 children. Dad loved family more than anything and growing up there were more family get togethers than could be counted. Dad raised his children surrounded by his parents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins that were truthfully almost siblings to his children.

He pursued higher education at Ricks College, BYU, University of Utah and the University of Wisconsin. He valued education greatly and had several graduate degrees. He taught school as a profession, but truly it was more of a passion. He ruined many shirts and ties doing chemistry demonstrations, usually because of holes burned through them.

Survivors include his siblings, Richard Blake (Rhea), Kristy Pehrson (John), wife, Sharon Blake, daughter, Loreli Blake, son, Bruce (Yvette) Blake, son, Brig (Jacki) Blake, daughter, Nicol, daughter, Hilary (Matt) Burgoyne, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brent was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother (George) and a granddaughter (Sophie).

The family would like to thank the staff at Yellowstone Dialysis who took such great care of dad for the past 6 years. We would also like to thank Advanced Home Health, Solice Hospice, Brent Parker, the Twin Groves Ward and all the wonderful neighbors who stopped by, offered support or lent a hand. You truly made the difficult bearable.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony Stake Center, 247 East 4th North. A viewing will be held at the same Stake Center on Tuesday, May 25th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
