Marion- James Delbert "Jimmy" Askew, age 65, of Marion, passed away at 8:40am on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home in Marion.
James was born in Peoria on October 11, 1955, the son of Delbert and Lillian (Burke) Askew. He married Patsy Christine Holland in Marion on June 10, 2001. Together, they have shared almost 20 years of marriage.
Jimmy had worked as a coal miner and a meter reader.
Survivors include his wife- Patsy Christine (Holland) Askew of Marion
Daughter- Ashley Askew and her fiancé Josh of Herrin
Two Grandchildren- Kalaina Parks and Adelaide Campos
Step-Son- David and Denise Norris of Marion and his children David Austin Norris

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. A time of visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
