On February 28, 1992, Johnny joined Tammy Coleman in holy matrimony. To this union they were blessed with four children. He was baptized into Christ at an early age. He was a very active member in church until his health failed.
Johnny Clyde was a truck driver. In his spare time, he loved to shoot pool, watch headline news, football and the Price is Right. He had a passion for fishing, spending time with family and friends, cooking and inviting everyone over to eat. Bro Johnny Clyde's favorite quote was " I won't complain!"
On April 21, 2021, Bro Johnny departed this life to life everlasting. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Hope Lashanna Norris.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving wife of 34 years, Tammy Banks; two daughters, Valerie Byrd and DeAngela Jones (Harold) of California; two sons, Detric Banks of Biloxi, MS and Taurus Coleman (NaTasha) of Brookhaven; siblings, Deborah Washington of Gulfport, MS, Carolyn Lenoir, Cheryl Dillon (Rickey) of Brookhaven, MS, James Earl Banks of Indianapolis, Indiana, Harold Banks (Penny), Clifton Harris, Cornelius Banks (Ann), all of Brookhaven, MS, and Elijah Smith of New Orleans; Aunt, Velma Ford of Chicago, IL; uncles, Charles Clark of Hattiesburg, MS, Versie Clark of Chicago, IL, and Willie Banks of Wilmington, Delaware; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, cousin and brother in Christ, Melvin Levy; and brother in Christ, Emanuel Stapleton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
