Gloria "Jean" Tucker, age 82 of Collinsville, IL, born March 20, 1939 in Caseyville, IL, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Jean graduated from Collinsville High School in 1957. She worked many jobs over the years, and was primarily a homemaker and loving wife and mother. As a young woman, she loved bowling and spending time with her friends and family. She was involved in her kids' educations - serving on the PTA, chaperoning many field trips, and always cheering on her son Clint at his soccer games.

In her later years, Jean enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in her backyard, picking a ripe tomato or cucumber from her garden, and going to the Casino Queen ("the boat") with her husband Clint and sister Nita. She loved spending time with her kids and their families, and stayed close with her siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary (nee Cawvey) Lutz; three brothers, Albert, Kenneth and Clifford "Red"; and two sisters, Arletta Mae, and Alberta.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Clinton Lee Tucker, whom she married February 27, 1960; three children, Diane Tucker of Collinsville, Clinton (Liza) Tucker of Collinsville, and Sam (Bec) Tucker of Chicago; three grandchildren, Gage (Kelsey), Isabella and Alyssa; one great-grandchild on the way; a sister, Juanita ("Nita") Johnson of Collinsville; numerous nieces and nephews; and a granddog, Loki. She is loved and missed by all.

Visitation will be 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Per the family's request, masks are required to be worn.
