Gary M. Collins, 66, of Clatonia, Nebraska, passed away, Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Bryan Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Kansas.

The Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M., Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, followed by a visitation at 7:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas.

Gary was born July 2, 1954, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Michael W. and Mary Ann (Peine) Collins.

He was a Clatonia/Lincoln area resident for 23 years moving from Olathe, Kansas.

Gary graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1972. He attended Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas earning his Associate of Arts in Air Traffic Control.

He was united in marriage to Linda S. Rebman January 8, 1977, at Olathe, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include daughters, Michelle R. Geddes (Rick) of Carver, Minnesota and Amanda R. Brokaw (Josh) of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Ron Collins (Eunice) of Olathe; sister, Catherine Bennett (Rod) of Overland Park; grandchildren, Laura Powell and Quinton Geddes of Carver, Minnesota; parents-in-law, Gail and Fran Sawyer of Desoto; brother/sister-in-law, Sam and Brenda Messer of Olathe; brother-in-law, Gene Rebman of Kansas City, Missouri; 6 nephews, 1 niece, 4 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary was an Air Traffic Controller at the Lincoln Airport, Lincoln, Nebraska. Later in his career a truck driver for Johnson Feed, Sioux City, Iowa for 20 years, retiring in June 2020.

He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilber, Nebraska, a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Emerald, Williamsburg, Kansas and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No.1913 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas.

Gary loved being outdoors mowing the grass and spending quality time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
