Plane was Liberator A72-159. Lost at Timor while on operations of Dutch Timor. Reported to have crashed due to engine trouble on a mountain near the village of Erbian, near Dilli, Timor.
Died - Flying Battle, Timor, 17 May 1945, aged 28 years.
His remains were recovered and buried at Ambon War Cemetery.
