Hector Asbu Rios, age 64, of Houston, Texas went peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Hector was born October 14, 1956 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Hector Asbu Rios was born on October 14, 1956 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. He was raised there for his childhood and would come and go from Nuevo Laredo to San Antonio, Texas. He was raised by his mother Maria Del Carmen Rios and his Aunt Hortencia Piña. At the age of 14, Hector met Graciela Urbina whom would later become his wife at the young age of 16. Soon right after, Hector had the opportunity to enlist in the Job Corps in Oklahoma City which is where he earned his certificate in welding. At the age of 17, a mechanic from a muffler shop gave him the opportunity to put his new found skills to work. This would pave the way for his future career. Hector then worked many odd jobs before he landed at a job Truck & Pickup in Houston, Texas in the year 1977. He would go on to work there until 1991. He then had the opportunity to advance and join the General Truck Body family where he would go on and work there and excel in everything that he did. He worked there up until his sudden passing.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Graciela Rios; Son, Hector Guadalupe Rios Jr. and his wife Marissa and daughter, Erica Elizabeth Rios Salazar and her husband Efrain; Grandchildren, Alberto Salazar and wife Ana, Patrick Salazar, Daniella Salazar, Joshua Rios and Yoselin Salazar; and great grandchild Levi Salazar; brother Marcos Antonio Rios
Hector Asbu Rios was a true, humble man that worked his entire life to make sure that his family was provided for and that they never were without. One can without a doubt say that he never stopped working and learning new things. He was a very diverse and intellectual man. On his downtime he would get lost in his music and caught up in literature, which was not as often as he would've liked, being the man that rarely had downtime. He could spark up a conversation with just about anybody and he would always leave an impression on them. He will be missed by many and loved by all. He would be a father for whomever needed a father and be a friend for whomever needed a friend. He would be anything you wanted him to be, but to us he was our rock that kept us going. You will greatly missed by many Calo. You leave a big void but we will strive to be able to be half the person you were. Rock on.

Héctor Asbu Ríos fue un hombre verdadero y humilde que trabajó toda su vida para asegurarse de que su familia estuviera provista y que nunca estuvieran sin ella. Sin duda, se puede decir que nunca dejó de trabajar y aprender cosas nuevas. Era un hombre muy diverso e intelectual. En su tiempo libre se perdía en su música y se atrapaba en la literatura, que no era tan a menudo como le hubiera gustado, siendo el hombre que rara vez tenía tiempo libre. Podía iniciar una conversación con casi cualquier persona y siempre les dejaría una impresión. Será extrañado por muchos y amado por todos. Sería un padre para quien necesitara un padre y sería un amigo para quien necesitara un amigo. Sería cualquier cosa que quisieras que fuera, pero para nosotros fue nuestra roca que nos mantuvo en marcha.
Muchos Calo te extrañarán mucho. Dejas un gran vacío pero nos esforzaremos por ser la mitad de la persona que eras. Rock on.
