Rachel Noami Forsgren Anderson was born March 21st, 1941 in Alexandria, Minnesota. Her parents were Clarence and Ruth Forsgren of Alexandria. Rachel attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree in voice and piano. She was a member of the Mu Phi Epsilon Music Sorority. Rachel taught piano in Nacogdoches for 50 years. She also returned to school to attend SFA where she studied interior design and worked at Crawford Building Materials.
Rachel later owned and operated Anderson Point Bed & Breakfast on Lake Nacogdoches. Church work was always her top priority. Rachel was a member of the Emmaus Reunion Group, Circle IV, a choir member for 43 years, an active Stephen Minister as well as a member of Primetimers. Rachel loved people. After retirement, she joined numerous community groups. Rachel is survived by one son.
