Washington, IL - Mark Stone, 57, of Washington passed away with his family by his side at 8:49 AM Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at his home.

He was born May 12, 1963, in Chicago, IL, to Gordon and Hedy Stone. He married Tammy Brashers in New Orleans, LA, on September 24, 1993. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Hedy Stone; four cherished children, Rebecca, Grant (Briana), Melissa, Cassie; three adored grandchildren; one brother, Joel (Jackie) Stone; one sister, Sally (Glen) Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his father.

Mark was the manager for 20 years at the Sam J. Stone Covenant in Peoria. More recently, he was self-employed.

Mark was a Cubs and Dallas Cowboys fan, loved golfing, traveling, and fishing, was an expert landscaper, an awesome chef, and an avid bowler, bowling multiple 300 games and 800 series. He was a member of the GPBA and volunteer coach for his children's sports. More than anything, Mark loved spending time with his family, including his three young grandchildren, Ellie, Emery, and Serenity. His family was the light of his life.

Mark was the type of person who would drop everything to help a friend or family member in need. There was no project large or small that he would not undertake for his mother.

Cremation services have been accorded. There will be a private ceremony for the immediate family.

Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
