Larry was born February 21, 1943 in Treece, KS to Leslie "Cotton" and Thelma (McCoy) Perry. He had lived in the Commerce, OK and Treece, KS area all his life. He graduated from Picher – Cardin High School class of 1961.
Larry worked for Gas Service Company 16 years as a meter reader. He was a Baptist Minister, serving at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church southwest of Columbus, KS for 33 years. He owned and operated Perry's Auto Salvage, Greenlight Auto Parts, Price Rite Outlet in Commerce and Grove, OK, Little Rascals Kids Clothing and 66 Quick Lube in Commerce. He was a member of the Cardin Baptist Church, east of Miami, and Vintage Rods Car Club in Carthage, Mo for 40 years. He served on the Commerce School Board for 10 years and coached Little League Baseball and Pee Wee Football in Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his father Leslie "Cotton" Perry and his mother Thelma Shockley.
Larry married Beverly (Mathis) Perry December 18, 1963 and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include 1 son, Brian Scott Perry and wife Lisa of Miami, OK, 1 Daughter Paula Ozbun and husband Tim of Commerce, OK, 2 brothers, Tom Perry of Tuscaloosa, AL and Dave Perry of Miami, OK, 4 granddaughters, Katie Knight, Shelby Lotz, Jacey Williams and Sammy Jo Perry and 2 great grandchildren Kannon Lee Williams and Breleigh Grace Williams.
