Obituary
Richard (Dick) Raymond Wolfe, 78, passed away May 21, 2021, at the Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo; surrounded by family.

Richard was born October 11, 1942, in Kirkland, WA., to Raymond and Gertrude Wolfe. He attended grade school in Claire City and High School in New Effington. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the Army National Guard and served in Fort Ord, CA., and Fort Sill, OK. Upon, honorable discharge, he was hired on with Western Electric, in Oakland, California, and transferred to Minneapolis, in 1964. In May of 1964, he married Sandra Lea Knudtson, of Sisseton, SD. They made their home in Minneapolis, for nine years and their sons, Troy and Todd.

In 1968, he hired on with IBM, in Minneapolis. He held various positions with IBM, mostly hardware or software, as a Technical Specialist. In 1973, transferred to Fargo, ND. They built a home in Horace, ND., where he served on the City Council, Horace Jaycees, lifetime member of the Horace Fire Department and Rescue, and a member of the Lions club. Richard was also active member at the St. Benedicts Catholic Church, where him and Sandra assisted with events since they first joined, in 1973. Richard and Sandy's son, Todd, later passed in 1992, and Richard, would then later retire, in 2004, after 35 years with IBM. Richard and Sandy, built their second home in Horace where they presently live.

Richard and Sandy, would spend the winter months in Florida at their motorhome. They would spend the time singing and Richard would play guitar for the RV parks in the community and in surrounding RV parks as well.

Richard enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, working in the garage and restoring classic cars, and spending time with his horse, Silver, in his younger years. He most of all loved spending time with his family and his two granddaughters, Brielle and Mykayla. They were the loves of his life. Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Troy (Lisa); grandchildren, Brielle and MyKayla; sister, Gwen (Marvin) Christopherson; and nephews, Joey (Rhonda) Christopherson and Chris (Pam) Christopherson.

Richard is preceded in death by son, Todd; and his parents.

Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 PM., with a Prayer service at 7:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2021, at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, of Wild Rice. Burial will take place in Claire City, SD.
