Janet, 94, went to be with The Lord, Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Janet was the daughter of Frank and Dorothea (Fandel) Finnis.
She graduated from St. Mary's School in 1945. Janet was a member of St. Casimir Parish since 1958. She served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Parish Worship Commission, Cursillo and Co-Coordinator of Befriender Ministry.
She is survived by 3 sons, Jack (Lisa) of Bath, Mark of Grand Ledge and David (JoLynne) of Lansing; 2 daughters, Lori (Lee) Peters of Lansing and Lisa (Tod) Bartholic of Byron Center; 10 grandchildren, Dana Benson, Jennifer and Jamie Phillips, Bradley and Kyle Peters, Kevin, Robert and Alex Phillips and Victoria and Utah Bartholic; 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Arthur Ebright and Roger Phillips; daughter, Sandra; son, Michael; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at St. Mary Cathedral with Rev. Fr. William Lugger as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel with the Rosary being prayed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mother Teresa House in memory of Janet.
