Richard Sheets was born on August 25, 1954, to parents of John and Mary Sheets, at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. He grew up in his childhood home with his two sisters Linda and Barb. He graduated from Amelia High school in 1972. He worked hard his whole life whether at his day job during the week or in the yard on the weekends. He always said there was nothing like a fresh cut yard that made him happy. Outside of his children his love was for his motorcycles. He spent his life with the fearless passion he had for riding. He built many Harley's by hand from the ground up. Along with his passion for bikes came his love for music. So often you could find him for hours watching music videos and listening to rock n roll and the blues. He is survived by his children Angela, Krista, Darren, Shana, Lacey, Trisha, Rikki, Tonya, Sonya, and Jessica. He also is survived by very many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He often called all his children his "pride and joy" after one of his favorite musicians. One of the best things he passed down to his children the love for a home cooked meal. There was no one in the kitchen like him. Lastly he was was known for being the best friend anyone could ask for. Rick had so many "brothers." Life long friends that he would do anything for at the drop of a dime. Friendships since boyhood. Rick fought really hard to the very end to get every last day he could with his girls and with the people he loved. After many health problems his body was ready to be with God. He will be so deeply missed by many but his spirit will live on through us all forever.
