Danny Wilson, 73, of Rome, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Miramar Beach, Florida. He was born on July 31, 1947 in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Joseph Huston Wilson and Lola Ardell Jones Wilson. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, LaDon Wilson; two sons, Phillip Heath Wilson and Brandon Joseph Wilson.
He was a member of North Rome Church of God and he was recently attending Armuchee Church of God. He was the owner of Wilson's Body Shop for 41 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Phebe Scoggins Wilson; son, Aaron Scoggins Wilson of Kilgore, Texas; daughter, Leah Owens Padgett and her husband Ronnie of Calhoun, Kids, Braxton, Brynley, Graecyn, Ellisyn, and Annistyn; daughter, Dana Ann Wilson of Tunnel Hill; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lamar Wilson, Faye Baker(Ted), Lavonne Stover(Jackie), Eddie Wilson(Robin), Brenda Balliew(Coleman), and Sherry Rittenhouse(Danny); nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM at Newtown Baptist Church.
The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM from Newtown Baptist Church with Rev. John Moates officiating. Burial will follow in Morning View Cemetery in Rome, Georgia. Pallbearers are, Aaron Scoggins Wilson, Braxton Michael Honea, Ronnie Wayne Padgett Jr, Justin Wesley Wilson, Billy Hiles, Sammy Wyatt, Hanson Gonzalo, and Larry Peace.
