Obituary for Robert "Bob" Michaels
Bob Michaels, 76, of Dallas, Texas passed away on January 19th of Waldenstrom, a rare blood cancer. Bob was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 11, 1944 to Oscar L. Michaels and Caroline Rademaker Michaels.

Early on he and his family moved to Garland, Texas where he went to Good Shepherd Elementary School and Garland High School. After graduating from Garland High School, he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed at NAS Oceana. This is where he met his wife, Betsy Benthall, and in 1965 they were wed, going on to have two boys, Bob, Jr. and John. Bob enjoyed a successful insurance career. Although he never retired, he later on found time to pursue his boat hobby, exploring history, and spoiling his twin grandchildren as much as possible.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy; his two sons, Bob and John; his brother, Patrick and his grandchildren, Savannah and Sax.
