Age 96, a longtime resident of Pike, NY, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Health System Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

She was born August 16, 1924 in Eagle, NY, daughter of the late Edwin and Pearl Nelson Fitzgerald. Lois worked for several years at Wyoming County Community Health System and the East Side Nursing Home in Warsaw. She and her family operated a dairy farm for many years in the Pike area. She attended school in Eagle and North Java.

Lois enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering and solving crossword puzzles. She loved cooking and caring for her family.

Lois was predeceased by her husband of forty-three years, Neil Paul, who died in 1994; her daughter, Collette Herring; son-in-law, Burton Davis; daughter-in-law, Kathy Paul; great grandson, Josh and siblings, Esther, Augusta, Dorothy, Edwin, Peter, Delores, Irving and Norris.

Surviving are her children, Delores Davis of Eagle, Norman (Jennifer) Paul of Silver Springs, Wayne Paul of Silver Springs, Elaine Thiel of Perry, Gordon Paul of Eagle and Brenda (Douglas) George of North Java; a sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Conroy of Warsaw; eighteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
