He joined the military during his high school years and earned his high school diploma during his military career. He served honorably in Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corps, with a career as a medic and drill sergeant. He was also a part of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was part of the H&HS Unit, Personal and Family Readiness program where he assisted Marines and family members with support of the challenges of the military lifestyle. He earned the Combat Action Ribbon, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 cluster, and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Mae Clarke and Willie Ed Reynolds. Surviving are his two children, Shavonna Vincent Hall and Deidre Smith Queens; sister, Betty Reynolds; nieces, Nicole Reynolds, Lydia Tanksley; nephews, Anthony Reynolds and Eric Kennon; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
