Martha Jean Watson, 68, of Columbus, OH passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born February 27, 1953 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late John Paul Welch Sr and Mary Evaline Crayton Welch.

Martha worked as the Food Service Supervisor at Sodexo at Ohio Dominican University. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles and working. She loved her cat statues and spending time with her family and friends.

Martha is survived by five children, Bobby Watson, Shinnston, Christina Paugh and Gary, Stonewood, Cathy Ewers and David Smith, Shinnston, Cynthia Watson and Scott Athey, Stonewood, Pamela Howe and Robert, Lumberport; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, companion of thirty five years, Thomas Hackney, Columbus, OH; siblings, Jeff Welch, Clarksburg, Carl Welch, Clarksburg, Sherry Reed, West Milford, Carol Owens, Shinnston, Mary Everett, Charleston; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Tate, Michael Welch, Debbie Doughty, James "Jimmy" Welch, Paul Welch, Bud Welch, Charles Welch, Eugene Welch, Dorothy McFee, Donald Welch and David Welch.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery .
