Daughter of Robert Richard Austin and Minnie Myrtle Austin. In 1945, she met her first husband, Alvin Henry Eaton in San Antonio, TX where he was stationed in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. Their first child, Sharon Eileen, was born in Dalhart, TX. She and Alvin pioneered a church in Thornton, CO where their second child, Alvin Richard, was born. Over their pastorates at Byers, TX, Mannford, OK and Conroe, TX, she learned to play piano, discovered her talented singing voice and other services for the ministry. As time passed, and circumstances changed their relationship, she built a successful business in women's retail clothing, insurance and real estate. In 1997 she moved to Alpharetta, GA to be near her children, and joined First Baptist Church of Alpharetta. She retired in 2001. She was preceded her in death by her parents; and two siblings, Lloyd Towery of Oklahoma City, OK, and Edward Towery of Conroe, TX. She is survived by her children, four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
