Phyllis Marie Murphy, age 84, of Cool Ridge, WV passed away at Pine Lodge
Nursing Home on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Born on October 20, 1936 at Helen, WV, she was the daughter of the
late Irby Hutchens and Hannah Brown Hutchens.
Phyllis was a former insurance agent and real estate agent. She
enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and spending time with friends and family.
She had previously resided in the Washington D.C. area for more than 20 years.
She is survived by a step sister, Delma Gentry of Beckley;
several cousins, and special care giver Lisa Gunter of Cool Ridge.
A funeral service will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry
Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2 PM. Friends and
family may visit one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral
home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
