He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Mary Louise Davidson and three sons Brian (Darcy) of Jacksonville FL, James (Carrie) of Fort Worth TX, and Richard Jr. (Katie) of Huntersville, NC. He was born in Cooperstown NY to Harold Lewis Davidson and Grace Putnam Davidson on July 29, 1937. He was the youngest of seven children. He is survived by his sister Joyce Davidson Cowles and several nieces and nephews.
He loved the 30 years he spent in the Marine Corps with the Air Wing. If he could have, he would have spent more time in the Marine Corps.
He will have a Catholic graveside service with full Military honors at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday May 25th, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Wounded Warrior Foundation in his memory
