Waupaca - Of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, formerly of Manitowoc, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021. He was born in Manitowoc on June 11, 1931 to the late Louis and Lillian (Ruether) Uhlers. Eugene graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his sisters: LaVerne Webber and Judy Wolfgram, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Uhlers and brothers-in-law, Allan Webber and Oscar Wolfgram.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca. Entombment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc.
