The passing of Richard "Dickie" Polchies of Kingsclear First Nation, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 24, 2009. He was 68. Born in Caribou, Maine, he was a son of the late Joseph and Annie (Sacobie) Polchies. Dickie was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Elaine (Mullin) Polchies; son Randy Polchies (Dawn) of Kingsclear; daughters Kathy Abbott of Missouri,Frances Nicholas, and Laura Levi of Chapel Island; brothers Walter William Polchies, Eldon Polchies and Lorne Polchies (Adrienne) all of Kingsclear; sisters Pauline Sargeant and Bernadine Paul of Sanford grandchildren; great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters.
