Lifelong Neodesha resident, Dorothy Francis Hare, 71, passed away at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, May 14, 2021.

Dorothy was born on August 21, 1949 in Neodesha to John and Martha (Barnes) Adams. Dorothy grew up in Neodesha and graduated from Neodesha High School. On August 6, 1971, Dorothy married James "Jim" Roy Hare Jr. in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The two enjoyed 42 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2013. Dorothy loved to tend to her garden, build crafts, and play card games, but most of all see loved to cook for her family. She adored the times she spent with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Adams, husband, Jim Hare Jr. and her brothers and sisters.

Her memory will live on her children, Angela Gentry, Lee and Terry Hare and their spouses, sister, Carolyn Scott, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. A private family graveside is planned in June.
