Vickie Webb, Age 71 of DeSoto, TX, passed away May 14, 2021. She was born February 5, 1950 in Dallas, TX to Sidney Victor and Claire Lou Blankenship. Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver who dedicated her life to helping others. From serving the public as a county employee, to serving as music director of her church for many years, Vickie was most content when she was helping others and showing God's love to the people around her.
She was quirky in all the best ways with a silly sense of humor and a love of all things sci-fi! She loved knick-knacks and decorating the entire house for Christmas, including tiny porcelain villages complete with fake snow and pine trees! She was an amazing cook, a master crafter, window-shopped like a pro and sang like an angel. After a debilitating brain aneurysm in 2004, her mind and body were forever changed, but her personality remained. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served Him well. Vickie continued to be a light in the world and everyone who met her was blessed by her easy smile and her sweet spirit. She will be missed immensely but her love and compassion will be remembered forever.
She is survived by her daughter Wendy Waggoner and husband Jeremy; son Michael Green; 5 grandchildren, Conner, Caroline, Brittaney, Dakota, and Bryson and wife Stormi; great-grandchildren Rainie and Aiden; sister Eleanor Kurtz; niece Katie Parker; nephew James Kurtz; and many more extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Webb, and her parents. There will be a graveside service at Little Bethel Memorial Park on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Visitation is Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 5 to 7pm at Jayne's Memorial Chapel.
