Mr. Bernard Louis Harris age 53, a resident of Georgiana, AL passed away on May 15, 2021 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Sugar Ridge Cemetery with Minister Sid Brown, Sr. officiating. Mr. Harris affectionately known as "Flipper" was a member of Sugar Ridge Church of Christ and was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his brother James Edward Harris. He is survived by his loving wife Arnetta Johnson Harris, son Desmond Harris (Samantha), daughters Marketta Moore (Lukas), Shanequea Harris (Brandi), Kensley Cook-Hartley, parents Woodrow & Elba Brown Harris, Sr., brother Woodrow Harris, Jr. (Catherine), sisters Barbara Foster (Joe), Linda Bristow (Samuel) and four grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Harris will also lie in state at Sugar Ridge Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021.
