OBITUARY from Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home - MELISSA DARNELL "Pat" GEORGE, 70, of Roxton, died at 2:47 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 5, 2013 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Sanders and Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Roxton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Pat was born May 29, 1943 in the Ward's Creek Community of Bowie County, Texas to William and Martha Ratcliff Flanery. She married Earl George November 28, 1959. He died April 18, 2004. She was retired from Campbell Soup Company and was a founding member of Canaanland Church of God.
Mrs. George is survived by her four sons, Eddie George and wife, Susan, Bobby George and wife, Mandy, Rickey George and wife, Debra, and Bill George; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Flanery; and two sisters, Charlotte Edwards and Margaret Reeder. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Billy Flanery, Fonzie Flanery, Jerry Cartwright, and William Cartwright; and one sister, Betty Flanery.
Pallbearers will be Patrick George, Rickey George, Joe Paul Bennett, Michael Salizar, Calvin Horton, Jr., and Javier Salizar. Honorary pallbearers are Beau George and Tuff George.
