Somewhere in the Que Son Valley, northwest of Tam Ky, during a sweep, a North Vietnamese Army soldier popped out of a 'spiderhole,' fired a shot and George fell mortally wounded. We lost three of our 30 assigned medics during my last five weeks in Vietnam. I will never forget them."
