Karen Lee (Sutherland) Cook, born on June 12, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late John and Norma Sutherland, went to her heavenly home on Monday, May 3, 2021.
Karen spent her childhood traveling with her family and eventually met the love of her life, Doug Cook in Houston, Texas. They were happily married for 20 wonderful years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Doug Cook, one stepson Jeremy Cook and his wife Brandy of DeRidder, LA; one stepdaughter Melissa Cook Guillot and husband Josh Guillot of Deville, LA. She was an amazing grandmother to seven grandchildren: Dylan, Hailey, Peyton, Baylen, Brooklyn, Carly, and Logan. She will be greatly missed by her sister Ellen Sutherland (Luciano Burgalassi) of Italy, her nephew Thomas and niece Stephanie.
The family will receive friends at Temple Baptist Church, 122 Martin Luther King Drive, in DeRidder, Louisiana on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
