Carole had no known relatives at the time of her death. Because of this, the county paid to have her cremated. Her ashes were held for 180 days at the funeral home. No one came to claim her ashes so the funeral home (per their protocol) carried her ashes 3 miles out into the Gulf of Mexico and scattered her them.
