Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Washta United Methodist Church at Washta, Iowa. Pastor Barb Dinelli will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery at Quimby, Iowa. Masks are optional at the visitation and the funeral service.
Beverly was born on October 2, 1934 to Clifford and Lue Alice (Johnson) Zupp. She attended Washta Schools and later earned her G.E.D. She was united in marriage to Harold Monteno Leonard on July 21, 1951 at the Quimby Methodist parsonage.
She worked on the family farm doing any tasks necessary and raising their six children. She later worked as a nurse's aide at various places and worked as an in-home health care worker.
She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Washta, Iowa and the Quimby Town and Country Club. Beverly loved playing bingo, gardening, fishing, crocheting, cooking and canning. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Monteno Leonard, son Zane Leonard, daughter Gina Edwards, six brothers, Bud, Neal, Bob, Doug, Dick, and Dannie, four sisters, Leona, Beulah, Blanche, and Fern.
She is survived by her four children: Monica (Cole) Bremer of Holstein, Iowa; Tina Bernard of Sioux City, Iowa; Grant Leonard of Las Vegas, Nevada; Barry (Rhonda) Leonard of Springdale, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: ; ten great grandchildren: two great great grandchildren, one sister, Arbie (Ralph) Meredith of Independence, Missouri, also many nieces and nephews.
