Service for Ina O. Sands, 70, a Spokane resident since 1937, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, Rev. Stanley Gunsten officiating.

Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. She died Sunday at Deaconess Medical Center.

Mrs. Sands was born in Plaza, North Dakota, on March 3, 1915. She worked 24 years at Washington Trust Bank and retired in 1978. She was a member of the Eastern Washington Arabian Horse Club, Sons of Norway and the Birthday Club.

She is survived by her husband, Carl (Herman) Sands, at the home; a son, Curt Sands, Portland; a daughter, Illa Sheldon, Spokane; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Trotter and June Campion, both of Spokane, and Ionne Estvold of Tacoma; and a brother, Chester (Bud) Bangen of Plaza, North Dakota.

The family suggests memorials to the Ina O. Sands Memorial Fund, University branch of Washington Trust Bank, for cancer research.
