Lee Roy was the son of Carl Newt McDaniel and Gertie Mae (Barnett) McDaniel.

On November 16, 1946 in Ranger, Eastland County, Texas, Lee Roy and Willie Pearl Tonn were united in marriage. They had four children.

1--Linda Gaye [1949-????]
2--Neva Jean [1953-????]
3--Gary Lee [1955-????]
4--Eddie Roy [1957-????]

Lee Roy was a member of the Church of Christ.

Lee Roy was in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and Korea.

The picture of Roy was given to me by his brother, Leao. The pictures of Roy's headstone was added by Robbie. I don't know you Robbie, but thank you very much.

Lee Roy (Buster) McDaniel
CARBON -- Lee Roy (Buster) McDaniel, 74, of Carbon, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ in Gorman, with Scott Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in Carbon's Murray Cemetery.

Born in Eastland County, he married Pearl Tonn in 1946 in Ranger. He taught vocational agriculture in Dublin, Balmorhea, Robert Lee, Roscoe, Tahoka and Granbury a combined total of 34 years. He was a founder of the Roscoe Swine Breeders Association and the Dairy Herd Improvement Association in Dublin. He also coached football in Balmorhea and was a Little League umpire in Robert Lee.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and an Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Lee McDaniel and Eddie Roy McDaniel, both of San Angelo; two daughters, Linda Gaye Timaeus of Tyler and Neva Jean Timaeus of Angleton; two brothers, J.L. McDaniel of Carbon and Leao McDaniel of Abilene; and eight grandchildren.
