Kevin M. King, 59, of Lakeville, formerly of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center, in Boston due to complications from Covid-19. He was the loving husband of Lisa A. (Molan) King. They were married for the past 24 years.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Richard A. and Shirley A. (Ferreira) King.

Kevin was a graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1980. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served for 4 years aboard the USCGC Vigilant. He then served as a reservist for 26 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Chief. He worked with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections for 21 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. In addition, he was an instructor at the Northeast Maritime Institute teaching marine engineering. Kevin was also a principle of King's RV Towing.

His interests included elaborate story telling, and these stories were always epic! He was always incredibly giving of his time and love. If you happen to be a stranger in need, Kevin was your rescuer and treat you like his family. He was the epitome of loyal. Kevin was always involved with his sons, whether coaching them in their various sports, working with them on his RV jobs, or enjoying a movie/sporting game on TV. Kevin thoroughly enjoyed cooking. If you came over to the King house, you never left hungry! He also was Passionate about fishing, playing cards, boating, swimming in the lake, but most of all spending time with his family, friends and dogs, Cody and Moxie.

Besides his wife Lisa, he is survived by his three sons, David M. King, of Taunton, Joshua D. King and Nicholas L. King, both of Lakeville; his siblings, Christopher E.
