She will be remembered by her children, Allen and Debbie Refsland, The Dalles, OR, Larry and Patti Refsland, Hackensack, MN and Barb (Refsland) and Dale Hagenson, Alexandria, MN.
Lois was proud of her 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed their visits and correspondence. They, as well as many friends and family, will gather to celebrate her life on Thursday, May 30 at the Eagle Bend Assembly of God Church at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:30 p.m.
Lois owned and operated the Eagle Bend Truck Stop for several years prior to her retirement. She worked for some time at the Eagle Bend School and did volunteer work including organizing a foot clinic at her apartment in Eagle Bend. She loved to go on "spur of the moment" outings to try out a new restaurant or just go for a drive with friends and family. She was a pretty sharp card player and was always open to a new game. When alone, she watched Minnesota Twins baseball and crocheted hot pads that were given as gifts and offered for sale for fund raisers.
Her faith in God sustained her throughout her life and she was known as a prayer warrior and loved to read the Bible and other inspirational books.
The pallbearers are Timothy Olson, Steven Steiner, Dan Schermerhorn, David Simar, Marvin Simar, Burton Simar.
Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Eagle Bend, MN.
