Robert M. Bissey, 78, of Arthur, formerly of Clay City, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Mason Point Nursing Home in Sullivan.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Doyle Williams officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.

Mr. Bissey was born January 10, 1929, the son of J. Milnor and Verda (Rogers) Bissey. He married Ruth Atchison. She survives.

He was retired from Roadmaster and was a member of United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bissey is survived by his wife, Ruth Bissey, of Arthur; daughters, Rhonda Cooper, of Flora, Zella Bissey, of Arthur, and Kathy Bissey, of Arthur; brothers, Kenneth Bissey and his wife, Ada, of Olney, Donald "Jake" Bissey and his wife, Marilyn, of Clay City, and William Bissey, of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Trilla Kay and Robbie Ann; two sisters; and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
