Larry J. Hinkle, 81, of Petersburg, Michigan, died Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Hickory Ridge of Temperance. Born July 1, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Ernest L. and Jennie E. (Burkett) Hinkle. A 1957 graduate from the former DeVilbiss High School, he then married Bonnie Holey on October 5, 1957. She preceded him in death on September 11, 1990. He then married Amelia Kina on June 3, 1995. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2020. Larry retired in 1994 as the warehouse manager for Coca Cola in Toledo after 31 years of service. Larry was a member of the National Street Rod Association and the Buick Street Road Association. He enjoyed building late model dirt race cars for several years. Larry attended Bridgepoint Church in Temperance.
He is survived by his loving children, Scott (Joanne) Hinkle, James (Cindy) Hinkle and Tracie (Elizabeth Flynt) Hinkle; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Lynn) Hinkle; step-children, Barbara (Kurt) Wells, Karen (RL) Berry, Sandy Kina, Greg (Darla) Kina and John Kina; 9 step grandchildren, and 1 step great granddaughter.
